Job Description:
Castlefield are seeking a skilled and experienced People Services Business Partner to join a Public Sector organisation based in Staffordshire on a 18 month fixed term basis.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the development and implementation of People Plans that align with the corporate strategy to drive organisational and cultural change.
2. Facilitate the creation of local engagement, reward, and recognition plans to enhance employee engagement and performance.
3. Provide expert advice and coaching to line managers to improve team performance, talent management, and succession planning.
4. Lead the people aspects of business change programmes, including managing restructuring and consultation processes with employees and unions.
5. Manage complex employee relations cases, providing leadership and guidance where needed.
6. Contribute to monthly SMT reports and directorate scorecards by analysing relevant data.
7. Lead TUPE transfers (both in and out), managing the process and liaising with unions and employee representatives.
8. Support the development and simplification of the recruitment and onboarding platform to improve candidate and customer experiences.
9. Monitor and update people policies, processes, and Equality Impact Assessments to ensure compliance with legislation and maintain alignment with the organisation's ethos.
10. Lead and support various project workstreams aligned with organisational goals.
Skills:
1. Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and developing performance.
2. In-depth knowledge of employee relations, talent management, and succession planning.
3. Proven experience with TUPE transfers, business change processes, and organisational restructuring.
4. Expertise in HR analytics and using data to inform decisions.
5. Sound understanding of employment law and its impact on organisational practices.
6. Strong communication and coaching skills, with the ability to influence and support managers at all levels.
7. Ability to manage complex situations with professionalism and integrity.
