JOB TITLE: Cleaning Supervisor
LOCATION: Glasgow Airport
PAY RATE: £13.33 PER HOUR
SHIFT PATTERN: 3 shifts on 4 shifts off then 4 shifts on and 3 shifts off
WORKING HOURS: 40 HOURS PER WEEK
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Support the operations/deputy operations managers and senior supervisors in the day-to-day operational management of the contract. Liaise daily with the site management team and serving airport duty manager.
* Ensure high standards of housekeeping are always achieved, being flexible to meet the changing operational needs and suggesting new initiatives for best practice in accordance with cleaning specifications and BICs standards.
* Participate in daily operational deployment and work dayshift rotations as per site roster requirements to ensure that all team members carry out their cleaning duties correctly and timely according to cleaning specifications and management direction.
* Carry out cleaning assignment responsibilities as designated by management/periodic task matrix including deep cleaning tasks.
* Deliver excellent communication and motivation to site-based team including daily debriefs for effective communication towards team goals.
* Correct usage of cleaning chemicals in line with COSHH regulations, ensuring all materials are stored safely, and monitoring and ordering of consumables and materials in line with minimum stock levels.
* Prepare an informative handover for the incoming Senior Supervisor, including important information discussed during ADM, tasks incomplete from previous shift, areas of focus, staffing issues, equipment, and machinery updates.
Person Specification:
* Good attention to detail with the ability to work independently and use initiative. Reliable and responsible with a flexible approach to work. Good communication skills and committed to quality.
* Able to quickly adapt to a busy operational environment.
* Able to work without constant supervision and follow management instructions.
Essential:
* Provide a 5-year checkable referencing history.
* Full clean driving license would be an advantage as would enhanced cleaning experience.
* Previous cleaning experience preferred, as well as experience in using buffer/scrubber drier.
