The Company
A leading Injection Moulding and Mould Tooling company operating in a world-class modern manufacturing facility.
The Role
This position requires an experienced Toolmaker to manufacture and modify injection mould tools in a modern, well-equipped toolroom, utilizing Hurco machining centres, Sodick wire eroders, Sodick CNC spark eroders, and Jones & Shipman surface grinders. The role involves in-house design using Pro Engineer and CAM programming with Powermill.
The work will include the following:
1. Use of manual milling machines
2. Maintenance, repair, and modification of injection mould tools
3. Manufacture and fitting of new injection mould tools
4. Using hand tools such as files, hacksaws, and grinders
5. Use of surface and cylindrical grinders
The Candidate
To apply for this role, you must have:
1. Experience in injection mould toolmaking and high precision machining
2. Understanding and experience in fitting and assembly of complex mould tools, including their repair
3. Experience in general toolmaking, milling, grinding, and fitting
4. Experience in toolmaking, manual milling, turning, grinding, EDM wire and spark erosion, and fitting
5. CNC machining experience is an advantage
