We are currently recruiting for a Waste Tideway Coordinator to join Thames Water on a permanent basis.
As the successful candidate your role will be to provide essential planning and co-ordination of complex below ground LTT maintenance activities.
The role will require a large focus on engagement and communication with key stakeholders to ensure all activities are planned effectively and efficiently.
Responsible for delivering network infrastructure and process improvements to the sewage network, to ensure KPIs are met, with a key focus on customer journey. The role provides a great opportunity for someone to build on existing skills and develop within Thames Water as well as the opportunity to learn new skills.
* Based on your location you can be based at any of the following locations, Abbey Mills / Hammersmith / Beckton however you will be required to attend all 21 Tideway Sites across the London Tideway Tunnel.
* 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday, working weekends and nights as required, plus inclusion onto an out of hours rota after training for which you will receive extra payment.
What you will be doing as a Waste Tideway Coordinator?
* Manage specific activities within a designated area, including leading on briefed projects and providing support on larger scale projects. This role will incorporate some or all the accountabilities listed below.
* Provide high risk safe and secure isolations to TWUL and LTT assets for the completion of remaining civils and MEICA activities on the LTT.
* Provide high risk safe and secure isolations to TWUL and LLT assets for planned and reactive maintenance to below ground LTT assets.
* Additional support function for the reviewing of Works Package Plans / RAMS / New Maintenance RAMS.
* Additional resilience in development of Safe System of Works / SHES4's and Diversion Notices.
* Support the issuing of TWOSA's and associated permits to MEICA and Pump Hall access activities.
* Conduct weekly planning sessions with the current MWC's and Tideway.
* Support in the development of new planning processes for the System Operator Maintenance Manager / Tideway Maintenance Contractor.
* Be part of the interface function between all stakeholders for below ground maintenance activities to take place. (Interface with SPTC Ops / Public Realm FOM / Tideway Maintenance Contractor / Third Party contractors.)
* Support SPTS on coal face activities involving many stakeholders associated with the LTT (Ops / CD).
* Development of detailed presentations of LTT related data driven projects (Minimum pump down trials / Trunk sewer desilting and sonar surveys).
* Co-ordinate briefed projects and activities, provide and deliver reports, presentations and analysis of data as necessary.
* G permit writing & providing safe and secure isolations for contractor activity.
* You will need to develop safe systems of work for complex tasks including confined space activities.
* Responsible for ensuring all aspects of H&S are managed correctly, by completing authorisations permits and site inspections.
* The role will have a large focus on being site based on all LTT sites and will require some attendance in the evenings, nights and potential weekends.
* To monitor and report on all aspects of the projects that you are directly accountable for, to include H&S, finance, programme, risk and opportunity.
* Ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures and external Regulations and best practices.
* Deliver excellent customer service and continuous improvement.
What should you bring to the role?
* Previous working experience in the water or a similar industry would be beneficial.
* Good communication skills and proactive in approach.
* Experience of managing Health and Safety.
* Good understanding of customer expectations.
* An awareness of business procedures and processes.
* Ability to liaise at all levels and influence beyond span of control.
* High attention to detail.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Willing to enter the sewage network once essential training is completed.
