Ranworth PCN has an opportunity for a permanent receptionist/administrator to join the team on a full-time basis, at our medical centre in Kennedy Way. You will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception and administrative duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. The main duties include: Greeting and directing patients. Booking appointments, m aintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system. Processing personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments. Answering incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately. Signposting patients to the correct service. Processing incoming and outgoing mail. Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies. Processing referrals to external agencies such as secondary care using the electronic referral system (ERS). Processing all DNA letters in accordance with current policy. Reading code data on SystmOne. Filing and storing records as required. Inputting data into the patient’s healthcare records as necessary. Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patient’s healthcare records Managing all queries (including administrative queries) as necessary in an efficient manner. Monitoring, maintaining and tidying the reception area and notice boards. Supporting all clinical staff with general tasks as requested. Please see full job description attached. About the Candidate We are looking for a receptionist/administrator to join our busy practice team and help make a positive impact on our local community. We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable, and friendly individuals, who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service and have the following attributes: Educated to GCSE level or equivalent. Experience of an administrative or reception duties. Excellent communication skills, with a clear and polite telephone manner. Ability to work in a polite, confidential and discreet manner, respecting patients at all times. Experience of working with the general public. Strong IT and administration skills. Previous medical or healthcare receptionist experience is desirable. Some flexibility is required, as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues.
