Our client is searching for someone who is super self-motivated and keen to join a tax team that continues to expand its tax offering to clients, not just dealing with compliance matters but also focusing on tax planning opportunities and advisory projects.

The Tax Manager role will involve you working extremely closely with the current tax team in place to help ensure they deliver their wide range of tax services in a professional and timely manner to their portfolio of clients.

What does your role entail?
6. Managing a mixed portfolio of personal tax clients (including directors, sole traders,partnerships, high net worth individuals, non-UK residents and beneficiaries of Trusts)
7. Engaging with clients on a regular basis and attending client meetings
8. Involvement in P11D submissions
9. Engaging in special advisory projects
10. Identifying tax planning opportunities
11. Contributing to business development
12. Supporting junior members of the Tax team with their training and development and reviewing
13. Tax Returns which the team have also prepared
14. Communicating with HM Revenue & Customs to seek clearance for tax strategies and to assist clients with enquiries where necessary
What do we need from you?
15. 3 years minimum experience of working as a Tax Manager and managing a portfolio of clients
16. Clear understanding in all the main areas of tax (Corporation Tax, Income Tax, Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Stamp Duty Land Tax and VAT)
17. Experience of providing technical advice would be an advantage
18. Accountability when it comes to recording chargeable time and recoverability on tasks
19. The ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritise tasks to ensure deadlines are met
20. Good communication skills and IT literacy
Having a full Driving License would be ideal due to travelling to client sites and meetings.
Qualifications we require:
21. Ideally ATT/CTA qualified
22. Basic computer skills in Word and Excel
