About the Company - My client, a leading FMCG company, is looking for a HR Advisor to support their head office functions based in Hertfordshire. The People Advisor will support the Chief People Officer with strategic initiatives while overseeing critical day-to-day HR functions.
About the Role - The HR Advisor will act as the first point of contact for managers and employees for HR-related inquiries. They will provide advice to managers on workforce planning, team dynamics, and performance goals. Responsibilities also include overseeing accurate maintenance of employee records and HR systems, providing research, analysis, and project management support for key people initiatives, and analysing recruitment patterns and trends to identify areas for improvement.
Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for managers and employees for HR-related inquiries.
* Provide advice to managers on workforce planning, team dynamics, and performance goals.
* Oversee accurate maintenance of employee records and HR systems.
* Provide research, analysis, and project management support for key people initiatives, such as change programs, workforce planning, and leadership development.
* Analyse recruitment patterns and trends to identify areas for improvement.
* Act as a trusted advisor to managers, supporting with performance management, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
* Ensure that employee relations practices comply with company policies and legal requirements.
* Support the roll-out of HR policies and ensure consistent application across departments.
* Provide guidance and training to managers on updated policies or new company initiatives.
* Assist in designing and implementing talent management programs, including career development paths and succession planning.
Required Skills
* Proven experience in an HR advisory role, preferably within a commercial environment.
* Excellent knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
* Experience in supporting senior leaders on HR matters and initiatives.
