Joseph Heler Cheese, a mission-driven organisation dedicated to delivering high-quality cheese products, is actively seeking a talented and experienced Head of Supply Chain to join our dynamic Operations team.
Role Description:
As Head of Supply Chain, you will be a key member of our senior leadership team, responsible for developing and implementing a high-performing supply chain strategy. You’ll oversee planning, warehousing, transport, and inventory management, driving best-in-class standards and ensuring seamless alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Strategy & Leadership – Develop and execute a supply chain strategy that aligns with business goals, focusing on automation, system improvements, and inventory control.
✔ People & Culture – Lead, mentor, and develop teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
✔ Planning & Forecasting – Optimise demand planning and scheduling to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
✔ Systems & Technology – Enhance ERP utilisation, streamline operations, and drive digital transformation.
✔ Transport & Warehousing – Build strong relationships with suppliers, lead tenders, and manage logistics performance.
✔ Inventory Management – Ensure >99.5% stock accuracy, minimise waste, and optimise stock allocation.
✔ Operational Excellence – Drive a performance-based culture through KPI management, continuous improvement, and cost control.
What We're Looking For:
✅ Experienced Leader – 5+ years in supply chain management, ideally in a chilled food environment.
✅ Analytical & Strategic Thinker – Strong ability to interpret data and drive informed decision-making.
✅ Tech-Savvy – Experience with forecasting and procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.).
✅ Collaborative Communicator – Ability to influence and build strong relationships across teams.
✅ Problem-Solver – A hands-on leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, ready to challenge the status quo.
