The Service:
The Portsmouth Safeguarding Children Partnership (PSCP) provides the arrangements under which the Safeguarding Partners and relevant agencies work together to coordinate their services to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in Portsmouth. The partnership prioritises workforce development to ensure there is good and effective safeguarding practice in Portsmouth.
Your New Role:
You will deliver training with a mental and emotional health focus, and provide a consultancy service to establish training needs and identify solutions to meet those needs. You will design, deliver, monitor, and evaluate training provided to those working in Portsmouth. You will work within a team of trainers supporting and guiding others to ensure training is delivered to a high standard. PSCP takes pride in the delivery of all learning opportunities and experience on the values of relational and restorative practice; you will deliver key learning in line with these values.

What you'll need to succeed:
You have experience or qualifications in mental health and safeguarding practice, and you have a recognised qualification or equivalent experience that is transferable to this role e.g. Health & Social Care (including Social Work, Nursing and Occupational Therapy), Careers Guidance, Human Resources, Teaching in Further Education, CIPD. You have excellent knowledge of mental health and safeguarding children practice, policy and legislation, and knowledge of relational and restorative practice. You have experience of designing, delivering and evaluating training for practitioners and managers and / or a training qualification, and experience of facilitating groups, supervising and coaching. You can deliver presentations, use effective research skills, and have good influencing and motivating skills. You are creative and innovative in commissioning / developing / delivering learning and development programmes that engage learners.
