Position Purpose:
This is part of the Bridgend restructure that was approved earlier this year.
This role has been created ensure that there are sufficient resources in place at all times to assist the site manager of the site to complete tasks in line with company policies & procedures to maintain an efficient, safe and compliant operation.
Currently there is no in-shift supervision for the whole site. Currently all responsibility 24/7 sits with a sole plant manager, some of which needs to be delegated down to an in-shift level.
This role will ensure the site’s compliance, health & safety and operational requirements are met across all three areas as well as distributing operational resources as and when & where required.
Some on call duties do come with the role. Team members will be provided with a work phone and will need to be readily available to take calls 7 days a week.
Key Job Activities:
* Ensure resource distribution plan for shift in place/amend as necessary. Sensor check the handover of KPI’s and review figures.
* Leading on new starter, training and inductions to the business. Review probation periods for new starters & performance manage.
* Sickness/return to works/staff admin issues/requirements are all completed in shift. Deliver any toolbox talks/ team meetings/ training that is outstanding.
* Shift site inspections carried out, including work safe observations and reporting of good catches as well as resolving good catches, updating reporting systems.
* Monitor SEMS & LMS to support Site Manager.
* Completing site inductions for external contractors, site visitors and signing permits to work. Duty of care visits.
* Stock control review with engineering team
* Carry out monthly spores testing.
* Month end reporting. Raising PO numbers.
* Attend daily/weekly/monthly Teams calls with the wider team as and when required.
Certifications and/or Licenses
Required: FLT license, IOSH, abrasive wheel, working at heights, Fire Marshall, First aid at work
Preferred: COSHH, confined space, Environmental permitting & awareness, Emissions monitoring, Accident & investigation, Permit to work, Hazard identification & risk assessment, Asbestos awareness, Legionella awareness, hand arm vibration, Electrical safety, MEWP, Tower scaffold, slinging & lifting.
