An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, skilled and experienced Clinical Physiologist to join our friendly cardiovascular team.
Our service provision covers invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures. The successful candidate will have specialist skills in Invasive Cardiology and would hold, work toward or be willing to take the BHRS (or equivalent). The department is open during the hours of 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday with the staff working a compressed 4-day week.
You will work as an independent practitioner within a multidisciplinary department, contributing to the comprehensive range of investigative procedures. This specialised cardiac post requires a sound skills base which will be rewarded with the opportunity for further personal development and exposure to a wide range of investigations.
Responsibilities:
* Provide treatment as part of the Medical team for Cardiac conditions and monitor the effectiveness of the treatment, initiating alterations to treatment within departmental protocols. This may occur in Clinical Physiologist-Led clinics where patients are discharged to Clinical Physiologist monitoring and advice for this particular condition.
* Responsible for undergraduate(s) by acting as Work-Based Supervisor within the department.
* The role includes mentoring, clinical assessments and close liaison with the Internal Verifier for the University to ensure all aspects of BSc are completed to a satisfactory standard.
