About the Role We are looking for an experienced People Advisor to join our People Team at London South East Academies Trust (LSEAT). This role is perfect for a proactive HR professional who thrives on providing high-quality advice and support across the full employee lifecycle. You will be instrumental in driving best practices and supporting our managers and staff to achieve excellence in employee relations, recruitment, and organisational development. You will need to be mobile to travel across all school sites as needed. Key Responsibilities As a People Advisor, you will: Provide expert advice and support to managers on recruitment, performance management, and employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management. Lead on organisational change initiatives such as restructures, TUPE transfers, and efficiency savings. Actively manage the employee relations case list, ensuring consistent application of Trust policies and procedures. Work closely with the Senior People Business Partner to support cultural changes, policy development, and strategic initiatives across the Trust. Contribute to the Trust’s recruitment activities, including attending recruitment fairs and supporting campaigns to attract top talent. Champion employee engagement, wellbeing, and safety initiatives, including managing the Occupational Health Service and Employee Assistance Programme. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a candidate with: Experience in a People/HR advisory role, ideally within the education sector or similar environments. Strong knowledge of employment legislation, recruitment principles, and performance management processes. Proven ability to manage complex employee relations cases and lead on organisational change projects. Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills. A professional and approachable manner, with the ability to build relationships and provide guidance at all levels. Qualifications CIPD Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification and a commitment to ongoing professional development. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software solutions.
