We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. This role offers opportunities for professional development within a relaxed and friendly environment.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Engaging with clients to understand project requirements and present solutions
* Collaborating with project design teams to develop protective design strategies
* Delivering design duties on design and build projects, including monitoring compliance and attending site visits
* Supporting contractors to ensure construction works meet project specifications
* Working with manufacturers to design new products for market
* Managing project workloads to deliver high-quality results on time
* Undertaking detailed structural calculations using various methods
* Mentoring junior engineers
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this role, applicants should have:
* A civil or structural engineering degree or equivalent experience in applied physics
* Chartered engineer status (MICE or MISTructE) or experience capable of passing the chartered professional review
* Leadership experience and ability to work with clients and professionals to develop innovative solutions
* Knowledge of steel and concrete design according to Eurocodes and/or UFC 3-340-02
* Commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to undergo UK security vetting at SC level (or above)
Prior knowledge of blast, seismic, or other dynamic analysis is desirable but not essential.
