Vickerstock are working in partnership with a major fabrication business on the appointment of a Purchasing Assisant. This is a full-time permanent position for someone with prior experience in a purchasing/supply chain environment. As the Purchasing Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the purchasing department. This role involves assisting with the procurement process, maintaining purchase records, liaising with suppliers and vendors, tracking inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The individual will ensure that all purchases comply with company policies and budgets. Benefits: Company pension Flexi-time (EARLY FRIDAY FINISH) Life assurance policy Responsibilities in your new role: Liaise with suppliers to ensure orders are received in full and on time Aim to reduce supplier lead times and expedite orders Work closely with the scheduling department to Identify delivery date issues which might affect production Work with suppliers to resolve any order, delivery and or invoice issues. Manage the collections of goods from suppliers Raise purchase orders for materials and services in line with production requirements.
