The NSPCC's charitable purpose is to prevent cruelty to children. Our 10 year strategy is focused on achieving three impacts:
1. Everyone can play a part in keeping children safe
2. The online world for children should be as safe as the offline world
3. All children should be able to speak out and adults know what to do when they express a worry or concern
We will achieve this by embracing seven declared principles: focus on prevention; listening to young people; building on our strengths; working in partnership; being trauma informed; embedding equality, diversity and inclusion in all we do; and inspiring many more people to get involved. The CEO and our Executive Board are charged with delivering this strategy in a powerful and relevant way.
What is the key purpose of this role?
The primary purpose of this role is to support the Chief Executive across the full range of their leadership responsibilities. There might be the need, on occasion, to assist with the Chair's diary as well, if asked.
This is a highly visible role, right at the centre of what the NSPCC is seeking to achieve. It's a fascinating opportunity to be exposed to the full range of our work, to learn about leadership, and to contribute directly to our work at a very exciting time in the charity's history. This role focuses on the impact it will make and how it will help to change children's lives.
