Job description
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and supportive practice in Handforth. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where high-quality care and exceptional client service are top priorities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Providing high-quality clinical care to all pets and animals, ensuring the best outcomes for your patients.
* Performing routine surgeries, dental procedures, and diagnostic investigations with efficiency and precision.
* Conducting thorough consultations and examinations, diagnosing and treating a range of medical conditions in pets.
* Advising clients on preventative healthcare, vaccinations, and nutrition for their animals.
* Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes of practice.
* Engaging with clients to provide clear explanations and compassionate support during treatments or procedures.
* Participating in regular case discussions and collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure the highest standards of care.
* Providing mentorship and guidance to junior veterinary staff or nurses where applicable.
Requirements:
* A degree in Veterinary Medicine.
* Strong clinical and surgical skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when interacting with clients and team members.
* Compassionate and empathetic approach to both animals and their owners.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
* High standards of patient care and a keen attention to detail.

* Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
