About the Role
We are seeking an approachable, knowledgeable individual to join LVFS as part of our Advice & Direct (A&D) Senior Leadership team.
Within this role, our successful candidate will lead the positive development and growth of the A&D team by actively helping to deliver innovative, high-quality advice propositions for customers, and subsequently ensuring that our business plan meets the required quality standards.
About You
Our ideal candidate will…
* Showcase a strong track record in leading financial advice teams to achieve the consistent delivery of business plans to a high standard.
* Have obtained a CF30 with a relevant Diploma in Financial Planning (being Chartered or making progress towards Chartered status would be desirable).
* Demonstrate a good track record as an enterprise builder, via proposition development and expansion in the Investment & Pensions sector, with relevant experience in digital and telephone-based channels.
* Communicate clearly and effectively with individuals at all levels, utilising effective influential, negotiation and leadership skills.
* Maintain expert, up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the Financial Services Industry, particularly across the Life, Investment & Pensions sector/marketplace.
* Understand the FCA regulations, their application and critical importance.
* Evidence a background of achieving targets consistently (proven success of achieving personal sales targets is desirable).
* Be able to motivate and uplift others.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include...
* Overseeing a strong risk and control culture and framework, in order to provide the regulatory and brand assurance associated with leading an advisory practice, including creating and presenting reports to the relevant Management Committee to demonstrate good governance.
* Working authoritatively and collaboratively as part of the A&D senior leadership team to make a strong contribution to the commercial development and success of the enterprise, which will include: approval of the business plan, development of high quality and attractive propositions, successful winning and relationship management of distribution partners.
* Being a highly effective communicator and advice champion, with both internal and external stakeholders – you will be able to convey the value of advice, innovation, and strategic position within the LV= Group.
* Developing high-performing teams, helping them to deliver consistently great results against individual and team performance targets and standards to support delivery of the A&D proposition, service delivery and business plan including:
* Setting clear technical, quality, and behavioural performance standards to support delivery of the business plan, tracking progress towards these, and implementing action plans to ensure successful, in-budget delivery.
* Taking responsibility for the effective recruitment, retention, training, leadership, and motivation of the financial advisers (including Senior advisers), in accordance with company and regulatory procedures including the Training & Competence Scheme.
* Producing timely and relevant analysis and data on customer service, team performance, and capacity.
* Supporting the development of the Performance Reward Bonus Scheme and making recommendations for awards.
* Proactively working to resolve customer complaints for the area, and ensuring that appropriate training and improvement is carried out when required.
