Role - Shipping Coordinator Location: Inverurie Duration: 2 year Hours: Flexible start and finish times. Preferably 5 days in the office, but flexible at the discretion of management. No on-call work. Essential Qualifications/Experience - HND in a relevant business field or equivalent. Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Knowledge of logistics and customs procedures, Incoterms 2020, and experience in international sea, air, and road transport. Duties & Responsibilities - Communicate with customers to coordinate collection times. Organise import and export orders, obtain quotes from freight agents, and liaise with other departments to gather necessary information for shipment processing. Work closely with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Warehouse teams to plan and execute efficient transportation of materials and timely deliveries. Assist in internal and external audits, providing accurate records and reports. Prepare accurate commercial invoices and related documentation, ensuring compliance with destination country regulations. Ensure adherence to customs regulations and policies for all goods movements, including international trade procedures. Address any delays, damaged goods, or other shipping issues promptly and professionally. Maintain up-to-date shipping registers and file all relevant documents for audits and inspections. Skills and Experience - Quickly adapt to challenges and learn new skills. Proactively offer solutions to address business needs and challenges. Driven to advance within the organisation and take on increasing responsibilities. Contribute to improving business processes, aligning them with current and future goals.
