The Role:
The Junior Merchandiser’s role is to ensure that the Buying and Merchandising KPIs are delivered through management of the day-to-day activities, making decisions on trading opportunities to maximise profit and provide the business with analysis of departmental, range and product performance upon which informed business decisions can be made on product ranges. This is a global role with scope across EMEA, APAC and US markets.
We offer Hybrid Working; employees may work up to 2 days per week from home.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Main duties include working closely with international buying teams to achieve set budgets, from buying, forecasting and trading through to markdown at end of season.
2. Runs weekly global reporting in preparation for Trade Meetings and any ad-hoc requests.
3. Coordinates the flow of information within the business (communicates information from HQ to international markets and vice versa).
4. Builds strong relationships with local GM, Buying teams and Visual Merchandisers to improve market performances.
5. Provides comprehensive analysis of historical performance as an input to the strategic plans.
6. Assists with core and seasonal buys for international markets ensuring HQ strategy is reflected globally.
7. Compiles sign off documents for 4 buys a year.
8. Drives sell-through and product performance KPIs.
9. Conducts regular competitor reviews, understanding their offers and activities.
10. Works with the Visual Merchandising team on monthly drop plans; ensures store layouts are the right balance of sale trends and brand image.
11. Collaborates with the wider business, including Marketing, Training, Product Management, Digital and Retail Operations to drive business.
12. Oversees and manages the weekly flow of sales and stock data.
13. Prepares and manages weekly shipments based on KPIs, new launches and local activities.
14. Prepares and provides the despatch forecast for your territory to share with the central warehouse.
15. Works closely with Group Planning to ensure stock is maintained at an optimum level through re-buys and re-phasing of intake.
16. Monitors and controls intake; ensures commitment is accurate and in line with business expectations.
17. Ensures that the decision-making tools (Line forecast, retail forecast) reflect the most accurate trading position on Sales, Stock, Intake and Margin.
18. Prepares monthly forecast reports, considering actual in-season performances.
19. Prepares ad hoc reports of current performance; providing analysis, proactive interpretation, communicating and recommending actions.
20. Builds key relationships with Customer Services, Commercial and Warehouse to optimise the flow of products within the business (deliveries, returns, recalls) to meet business objectives.
21. Builds and maintains seasonal reports such as sell through, PGR, budgets and communicates with relevant teams.
22. Responsible for completion of markdown planning, reporting and analysis.
23. Accountable for achieving seasonal Global Full Price sell through targets.
24. Assists in planning the OTB and buying activity that takes place four times a year.
25. Provides comprehensive analysis of historical performance to develop strategic plans.
26. Assists with International buys to ensure they are in line with HQ strategy.
27. Responsible for organising final sign off documents for the buy.

Skills & Experience Required:
1. Previous experience at Junior Merchandiser or Senior Assistant Merchandiser level.
2. Advanced Microsoft Excel.
3. Effective use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
4. Experience working with Power BI, NuOrder, Business Objects is a bonus.
