We need a dedicated Interventions Teaching Assistant to join a reputable primary school in Weybridge, KT13. This role focuses on supporting Key Stage 2 pupils, particularly those with Autism, ADHD, and behavioural challenges. The ideal candidate will be adept at providing both one-on-one and group support for students in Years 3 to 6. Prior experience working with children with special educational needs is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with specific learning needs, including Autism and ADHD.
- Lead targeted interventions to assist pupils preparing for SATs.
- Offer one-on-one and small group assistance to children performing below age-expected levels.
- Collaborate with teachers to design and implement effective learning strategies.
- Monitor and document student progress, contributing to the development of personalised support plans.
Candidate Requirements:
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, a degree in Psychology, or an equivalent credential is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in a primary school setting or in supporting children with special educational needs.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Patience, clarity in communication, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
