Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust
Are you a passionate Physiotherapist who is committed to service development and dedicated to collaborative working? This is an exciting opportunity to join our Medical Therapy Team for those physiotherapists with an interest in patients presenting with complex medical conditions.
The Medical Therapy Team is an integrated team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, providing assessment, intervention and discharge planning across several medical specialties, including respiratory, cardiology, haematology, general medicine, frailty, and acute medicine. This is an ideal opening for an experienced band 5 looking to progress in their career or an existing band 6 wanting to specialise in this dynamic clinical area.
Main duties of the job
You will work closely with our multi-disciplinary team, working within an integrated model of care to provide timely assessments, rehabilitation, and support with discharge planning for our patients.
You will gain experience of working in a busy and pro-active environment where evidence-based practice is embedded, and joint working, service development, and CPD is encouraged.
As a band 6, you will receive support from the band 7 team leader and peers. You will be expected to provide supervision to more junior staff and students.
The service operates over seven days, and as such, some weekend working is required as part of the role.
