SCHOOL NURSE (BAND 5-7) MONDAY - FRIDAY, TERM TIME ONLY SHIFT HOURS ARE 8.00AM - 4.00PM OR 8.30PM - 4.30PM (39 WEEKS) £25,944 - £45,243 PER ANNUM (pro-rated) MUCH HADHAM, HERTFORDSHIRE About the role At a time of exciting growth across our School and Children’s Services at St Elizabeth’s, we have an opportunity for an exceptional School Nurse to join our multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will have excellent clinical skills combined with a passion for supporting children and young people who have complex needs and epilepsy, who attend our School as either a day pupil or who live on site within our Children’s Homes. You will work closely with other nursing professionals across our Health Agency, which consists of epilepsy specialist nurses, learning disability nurses, paediatric nurses and therapists, and will have responsibility for planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised nursing care. You will work collaboratively with the School and residential teams to ensure that a holistic approach to the health needs of the students is maintained. About you Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for a kind and compassionate individual with excellent communication skills, to ensure the children, young people and parents we support are comfortable and fully informed throughout any clinical decision. You will be a fully competent Paediatric Nurse registered with the NMC, along with experience of working with children and young people with epilepsy, learning disabilities and/or complex needs in an education or residential setting. A highly desirable shift pattern is offered, whereby you will work Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm or 8.30am - 4.30pm, term time only.
