Our client, a growing and dynamic multi-site manufacturer of aerospace components, supplying into both the commercial and defence sectors, is seeking a skilled and motivated Sales Manager to join their team.
The Role:
In this home-based position, reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will enjoy significant flexibility while playing a pivotal role in driving the business forward. Your time will be split between working remotely and travelling to meet clients across the UK to deliver exceptional service and identify new opportunities.As the Sales Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
* Driving Revenue Growth: Strengthening and expanding relationships with existing clients while securing new business opportunities within the aerospace sector (commercial and defence).
* Strategic Account Management: Taking ownership of a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
* Client-Focused Solutions: Understanding customer requirements and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that exceed client expectations.
* Negotiation Expertise: Leading commercial and financial negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
* Market Intelligence: Monitoring trends in the aerospace industry to identify emerging opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
* Programme Oversight: Ensuring the successful delivery of customer programmes, meeting agreed timelines and specifications.
The Ideal Candidate:
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate the following:
* Industry Expertise: Extensive experience in a similar sales or account management role within the aerospace components sector is essential.
* Proven Success: A history of achieving and exceeding sales targets by growing existing accounts and securing new business.
* Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster and maintain long-term client relationships.
* Commercial Acumen: A deep understanding of the aerospace supply chain and the unique requirements of both commercial and defence clients.
* Self-Motivated: Comfortable working independently in a home-based role while maintaining a proactive and results-driven approach.
* Flexibility: Willingness to travel as required to meet client needs and achieve business objectives.
