Physiotherapy MSK/Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (37.5 hours per week)
This is an exciting opportunity for a physiotherapist to offer specialist clinical therapy skills in the specialities of MSK and Orthopaedics. The expectation will be to support and drive the service and build the team alongside the Outpatient Therapy Lead, the In and Outpatient Team Leads and Professional Leads.
You will demonstrate excellent clinical leadership skills to lead the delivery of personalised, holistic services ensuring good communication links with the MSK outpatient and Orthopaedic inpatient teams.
You will need to be able to travel across the County facilitate training and supervision of staff.
Main duties of the job
* Be the Clinical Specialist for the MSK outpatients speciality within the Trust, co-ordinating the Trust wide service development and evaluation within this speciality.
* To provide clinical support and guidance to inpatient Physiotherapy Orthopaedic staff for patients in order to ensure high quality care and best practice.
* Provision of expert supervision for staff within the clinical team.
* To support the team in delivering an outstanding service with high quality, safe, personalised, cost effective, patient focused service, with effective demand management systems which are responsive to the changing local need utilising technological options to maximise efficiency and safety.
* Maintain a complex clinical caseload, with clinical activity accounting for between 50-60% of working hours.

* Experience of developing processes and practices which underpin patient safety and quality of care.
* Evidence of involvement in organisations which support the clinical area e.g. specialist membership.
Qualifications

* HCPC Registration.
* BSc/MSc/Physiotherapy.
* Evidence of post-graduate education at Masters level/ research/CPD relevant to the speciality.
