Main duties of the job Provide direct care and support to the patient as delegated by the qualified nurse and Doctors. Maintain a clean safe environment for patients and relatives. Main tasks To work closely with the Practice Nursing team and Doctors New patient health checks ECG recording Phlebotomy Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patient's health and well being Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted Blood pressure checks Administering flu, and other vaccinations B12 injections Helping with all other chronic condition monitoring Assisting GPs with minor surgery Experience Experience of working in primary care with good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload. Experience of using computers and EMIS, or System One.
