Role:
Providing a warm, friendly, informative welcome to help visitors make the most of their visit and helping them find their way around the site.
Making visitors feel welcome, answering any questions, and encouraging them to get involved.
Checking tickets and scanning membership cards.
Assisting in loaning out Mobility Scooters to visitors.
Not forgetting to help tidy things away after an event or activity or just at the end of a busy day.
You are important in making sure things run as smoothly and safely as possible – this includes getting to know health and safety and evacuation procedures.
There might occasionally be some other activities that are of interest to you, that we could use your help with.
This is just a selection of what is involved; you don’t have to do all of them!
Time commitment:
Volunteering hours vary depending on the role and our opening times. We aim to be as flexible as possible and can discuss more with those interested in the role.
About the organisation:
At the National Trust, we protect and care for places so people and nature can thrive. We look after hundreds of houses and close to a million objects, along with vast areas of coastline, countryside, and green spaces, for everyone’s benefit. With our staff, members, volunteers, and supporters, we’re the biggest conservation charity in Europe. Everyone can get involved; everyone can make a difference.
