Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a friendly, easy-going 55-year-old man living in the Talbot Green area. I have a great sense of humour, enjoy my independence, and love spending time with family. I have a mild learning disability but live life to the fullest and appreciate good company. I have a passion for music from the '70s, '80s, and '90s, High-performance cars, rugby – I’m a true fan and can name just about any player! I also enjoy watching detective shows like The Bill and Taggart. I also love staying active – I go to the gym and enjoy swimming.
I sometimes need support with managing paperwork and money, as I can find reading a bit tricky at times. I am looking for a personal assistant who can offer companionship while helping me stay socially active and independent.
I do enjoy my own company and I am family orientated my parents say I am humorous and can be quite shy when I first meet someone new; and a very caring soul who is polite and courteous, everybody has a good word to say.
PURPOSE OF JOB
Social inclusion by supporting me with Independent living skills via social and leisure activities.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
Caring & patient – Someone who understands my needs and enjoys good company
Reliable & supportive – Someone who can help me stay on top of my independent living skills
A driver with their own vehicle – So we can easily get around (mileage will be covered)
Friendly & approachable – A good sense of humour is always welcome!
ABOUT THE JOB
This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.
All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.
Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.
Wages will be paid on a two-weekly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
