The ideal candidate will be qualified (ACA,ACCA,CIMA) with several years PQE. A hands-on finance professional who can hit the ground running, taking immediate responsibility for managing the financial and management accounting functions of the business. You will oversee a small finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Director, and ensuring the production of accurate, timely financial information.Responsabilities will include: Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Manage the production of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, with detailed commentary on variances and trends. Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with operational targets. Oversee the preparation of detailed management reports, providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions. Manage the month-end close process, ensuring all journals, accruals, and prepayments are accurately posted. Analyze and review key financial data such as overheads, cost of goods sold, and variances from budget, providing actionable insights for operational teams Perform regular cost analysis on manufacturing expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Ensure that all production costs, including labor, materials, and overheads, are accurately accounted for in financial reports.
