Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Consultant with Sage 200 and WMS/Manufacturing experience.
* To deliver business consultation, Installation, support, technical advice, guidance and training to Customers around the implementation and use of the Datalinx Advanced Warehouse Management System (AWMS) 200 within the Sage 200 environment. “Customers” may be Sage, Business partners, End users or Internal departments.
* Experience implementing Sage 200 distribution and manufacturing or WMS systems
* Or experience in the delivery of warehouse management systems, implementing barcode scanning and defining workflows in the warehouse.
* The candidate will need to be an analytical and curious problem solver. Being well organised with an ability to build trust and demonstrate empathy with our clients will be crucial to your success in this role.
* This role is office based (Dormansland, Surrey) with on-site visits to customers required.
Requirements and Responsibilities
* Implementing Datalinx Advanced WMS 200 integrated to Sage 200 from start to finish. This will include system configuration, data conversions/migrations, end user training, report design.
* Understanding the scope and objectives of the Advanced WMS 200 product and the benefits to Datalinx Customers
* Responsible for communication between Datalinx and the Customer
* Technical support and troubleshooting skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work on-site in Dormansland
* Experience working with warehousing and manufacturing systems is a plus
* Reporting to the Technical Director
Experience
* 3 years implementing Sage 200 (with Manufacturing/distribution) or WMS systems
* Or experience implementing similar systems usilising barcode scanning and defining workflows in the warehouse
* Experience creating and maintaining technical support logs
* Experience and competence in writing business reviews and specifications
Example of typical work within the role:
* Perform a Business review with a Customer which would document the way that AWMS 200 would be mapped to their business processes.
* In the event of a significant “GAP” then, with the Customer, specify a solution and by way of a “Request for Change” seek to provide a solution.
* Discuss with the commercial/scheduling department the requirements for an implementation plan.
* Install and configure the software to match the business process.
* Train the Customer on how to maintain and use the software.
* Support the Customer through the initial learning and go-live period.
* Test software produced by the Engineering department, before release to the Customers.
