Kings Priory School is seeking an exceptional professional to teach GCSE and A-Level Business. The ideal candidate is an experienced Business teacher who is open to teaching a second subject in social sciences (e.g. economics, sociology, politics or psychology). For the right candidate, the school is open to those who would wish to work on a part-time basis, for example 0.6 or 0.8 equivalent.
Outcomes for pupils studying these subjects at Kings Priory School have been consistently strong for many years and it is essential that these high standards continue to give our pupils the best possible preparation for the next stage of their educational journey. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and learning, constantly seeking new ways to develop themselves professionally and to ensuring that all pupils achieve their full potential. A willingness to participate in the wider life of the school, in addition to enriching the Business curriculum, is essential. We have strong working relationships with local businesses and third-sector organisations who support our curriculum with guest speakers, competitions and by hosting educational visits.
Kings Priory School is one of the highest performing schools in North East of England, providing high quality education to over pupils aged 4 – 19. We are a school with excellent teachers, a family environment, motivated pupils and a commitment to educating the whole child both in and outside of the classroom. We are proud of our pupils who regularly achieve well above the national average in public examinations: in at GCSE, 93% of pupils achieved a grade 4+ in English and 93% of pupils achieved a 4+ in Maths.
