Role: Lecturer in Health and Social Care
Location: Corby, Kettering & Wellingborough
Salary/ Benefits: Trainee from £25,750, Qualified from £31,930 (Pro-Rata) per annum, DOE and Qualifications, Teacher’s Pension, Retail and leisure discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Working Pattern: 37hr (1.0 FTE)

About the Role:
We are looking for a Lecturer / Trainee Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join us at The Bedford College Group. As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:
1. Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses from Level 1 to Level 5.
2. Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
3. Managing students’ learning and providing a high quality learning experience.
4. Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
5. Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.
6. Keeping CPD in industry knowledge up to date.
About You:
1. Health and Social Care related qualification at Level 3 and above or equivalent in related subject area.
2. English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent.
3. Certificate in Education (or willing to work towards).
4. Vocational experience in Health and Social care.
5. Knowledge of the current developments in own specialist area.
6. Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
7. Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing.
8. Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and for raising any concerns.
