Job Description
The Learning and Development Officer will be responsible for:
3. Training Program Development: Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to design, develop, and implement effective training programs and materials.
4. New Employee Onboarding: Ensure that new employees receive comprehensive onboarding training, helping them integrate seamlessly into our company culture.
5. Skills Enhancement: Identify skills gaps within the workforce and develop training initiatives to address these gaps.
6. Compliance Training: Ensure that employees receive necessary compliance and safety training to meet industry regulations.
7. Training Delivery: Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars, both in-person and virtually.
8. Training Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations and feedback, making improvements as needed.
9. Learning Technology: Stay current with learning technologies and tools to enhance the training experience.
10. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
11. Professional Development: Encourage and support continuous learning and development for all employees.
12. Collaboration: Work closely with HR and department heads to align training initiatives with organisational goals.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Learning and Development Office will have:
13. A proven track record in learning and development.
14. Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
15. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
16. Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other e-learning platforms.
