A successful Scottish-based IT consultancy is currently on the lookout for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join their ranks as they continue to grow their headcount. Their office is based in Edinburgh but they offer flexible working.
They were established in 1999 and deliver a wide range of IT solutions for their clients across Scotland and the UK. This includes managed services, enterprise consulting, and application development. They work with global companies in multiple sectors like finance, education, and renewables, providing engaging and significant projects for you to work on.
The role itself requires an experienced Cloud Engineer to join their Managed Service team to support their client base with their cloud-based solutions. The team is made up of 5 Cloud Engineers, and you will report directly to the Head of Managed Services. This role is an excellent opportunity to work with some of the most up-to-date technology and develop your skills in a fast-paced Azure environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Delivering and implementing technical Azure solutions for clients' needs.
2. Transitioning workloads to cloud infrastructure.
3. Integrating and overseeing cloud environments.
4. Assisting clients with the adoption of cloud technologies throughout the full project lifecycle.
5. Architecting, designing, and supporting cloud infrastructure.
They're looking for someone with a proven track record of working with cloud-based technologies, specifically Azure, who has helped to support and design cloud infrastructure in past roles. It would be beneficial if you have worked in a consultancy role previously and enjoy the nature of working between multiple projects simultaneously. Ideally, the successful candidate will have some of these skills and experience:
1. Migrating from on-prem to cloud.
2. Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Bicep, Terraform).
3. SaaS, PaaS, IaaS.
4. Public & hybrid cloud.
5. Azure storage, security, identity and access management, firewalls.
