Job Description
We’re seeking a talented individual to join our VAT Tax Team in Newcastle, which is responsible for providing tax VAT compliance and advisory services for a wide range of business clients.

As Assistant Manager in VAT your responsibilities will include:
* Client Management and consultancy work where you will manage a portfolio of cases from both advisory and compliance perspectives.
* Staff Development through liaison with partners and senior team members, responsible for mentoring junior staff on both technical and procedural matters.
* Compliance work ensuring procedures are followed and departmental billing and recovery targets are met.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* VAT experience gained within a Tax professional services environment.
* Technical advisory experience and ability to assist in complex client work.
* Good attention to detail and ability to manage compliance work.
* Report writing and presentation skills.
Qualifications
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CA) and/or tax advisor (CTA) or international equivalent.
