Anti-Social Behaviour Officer (Housing)
We are working in partnership with a Local Authority in the Bournemouth area who are looking to appoint an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to support the Housing Services.
Contract Duration: 3-6 Month agency contract with a view to being extended on an ongoing basis.
Full Time: 37 hours.
Rate of Pay: £17 - 21 per hour (negotiable on experience).
Location: Bournemouth, BH1 (Hybrid).
Note: LOCAL ATTENDANCE REQUIRED TO ATTEND COURT WHEN REQUIRED.
About the Role:
* You will work closely with all teams within BCP Homes to ensure victims are supported and identify any vulnerabilities.
* Work as part of a multi-agency team, with agencies such as Dorset Police and health providers.
* Take enforcement action in cases of serious or persistent anti-social behaviour using the tools and powers under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
* Adopt a harm-centred approach to improve the quality of life of those affected by anti-social behaviour.
Main Responsibilities:
* Proactively manage incoming reports of ASB from various sources: investigate, manage, and monitor an ASB caseload, opening and progressing cases in line with agreed procedures and good practice, identifying victims, witnesses, and perpetrators.
* Build clearly documented ASB cases ensuring all actions are detailed and recorded on electronic systems, including the preparation of witness statements and evidence.
* Attend Court as necessary where legal action is taken, provide evidence, support witnesses through the court process, and serve court orders, injunctions, and notices as required.
* Ensure partnership working and community engagement is integral to your work, identifying community concerns and ensuring relevant agencies engage in victim-focused solutions.
* Participate and coordinate action around place-based issues of ASB using problem-solving methods to understand issues and identify tactics to impact on problems.
Experience Needed:
* Experience of working in a housing or anti-social behaviour related setting dealing with complex and challenging issues.
* Familiarity with the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
* Experience in Local Authority / Public Sector.
