Finatal is partnered with a Pharmaceuticals Business that was recently bought by a Mid-Market Private Equity Firm and has since grown x2 in size through a mixture of organic/in-organic growth. They are now looking for a CIO, to drive a Digital and Technological Transformation across ERP, Data, and Security. Reporting into the CEO, you will play a pivotal part in shaping their future and leading them toward a successful Private Equity exit.
Key Responsibilities:
* You will act as a pragmatic and commercially astute leader, guiding the evolution of their IT landscape to support rapid growth.
* Develop and execute a robust IT strategy aligned with both our ongoing growth and future acquisitions, driving forward digital transformation initiatives.
* Lead and mentor a high-performing, lean IT team, ensuring both backend stability and frontend innovation.
* Ensure that all technology applications and infrastructure are scalable, secure, and efficient.
* Propose and champion technology initiatives with clear, measurable ROI, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Drive innovation by applying practical, business-oriented tech solutions that differentiate us in the market.
* Oversee IT Operations, including infrastructure, networking, and security, managing third-party vendors to deliver world-class services.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, ensuring strict management of licenses and contracts.
* Take full accountability for Data Management, including Master Data Management, enabling the business to harness data and insights for competitive advantage.
* Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their implementation where they add value.
* Collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders, including Board members, to communicate progress and impact.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT leadership role, with at least 10 years of relevant experience, particularly in driving digital transformation.
* A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
* A forward-thinking, tech-savvy leader with a passion for leveraging technology to transform businesses.
* Proven expertise in exploiting data insights, business intelligence, and advanced analytics.
* Strong experience in ERP and CRM functions (e.g., SAP, Dynamics, Oracle, Salesforce) with a track record of building and integrating scalable platforms.
* Solid understanding of IT architecture and infrastructure, with experience developing models based on The Enterprise Framework.
* Hands-on approach to problem-solving with the ability to switch between detailed technical discussions and strategic commercial planning.
* Exposure to cloud technologies.
* Extensive experience managing teams using both waterfall and agile methodologies.
* Full ownership of IT department budgets (opex and capex).
