OLG are currently hiring a Welding Coordinator and QC Officer.
Key Duties:
1. Complete management of the BS EN 3834 and BS EN 1090 accreditations
2. Reviewing and updating of the welding quality manuals
3. Assist with external audits
4. Ensure that welding activities are carried out in accordance with the standards and project requirements
5. Implement and prepare / write welding procedures in line with the relevant codes and standards
6. Qualify and maintain welder qualifications in line with the relevant codes and standards
7. Identify the need for new PQRs as per project requirements
8. Review client and contract documentation to identify necessary records and forms to satisfy requirements
9. Ensure customer requirements / technical reviews are carried out for projects
10. Produce data books for clients
11. Create and implement ITPs as per project requirements
12. liaise with clients, customers and subcontractors on technical matters
13. Review client quality plans
14. Auditing of welders
15. Maintaining and continuous improvement of the 9001 accreditation
16. Take part in internal and external audits
17. Reviewing and updating of the quality manual
18. Ensure that work activities are carried out in accordance with the standard and any project requirements
19. Take part in meetings and support main quality lead in all quality matters
20. Maintain and continuous improvement of the 14001 & 45001 accreditation
21. Lead monthly EHS meetings
22. Lead quarterly management review EHS meetings
23. Management of certain training requirements in conjunction with HR
24. Site visits when required
Skills:
25. Knowledgeable in current legislation
26. IT literate with excellent Excel and other Microsoft Office application skills;
27. Embraces change and has the ability to adapt to new situations / working methods;
28. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and liaise with individuals as required;
29. Good organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
30. Ability to determine root cause by using analysis techniques

Professional Qualifications / Relevant Experience
35. T IOSHH Qualification
36. HND/HNC Level
37. 5 years’ experience as Welding coordinator/QC Officer
