Emergency Care Locums can offer regular Healthcare Assistant (HCA) shifts across the South West of England.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with daily living activities such as eating, showering and using the toilet
* Utilising equipment to move patients when necessary
* Taking the patient’s vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature
* Observing patient’s condition and recording information
* Talking to patients and reassuring them
* Attending meetings with other healthcare professionals
* Assisting nurses and other staff when needed
* Adhering to professional standards
* Delivering reports to Case Managers and reviewing any important changes in the patient’s condition
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
* Ability to handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently
* Clear verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information
* Excellent customer service skills
* The ability to work well with their hands
* Capability to accept criticism
* The ability to work well with others
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
* Ability to work effectively within a team while also demonstrating initiative in patient care.
* Compassionate approach with strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy towards patients' experiences.
* At least 6 months' experience as Healthcare Assistant (within the last 3 years).
* Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 2 or 3
* Care Certificate
* UK right to work.
* Enhanced DBS clearance required.
