This key leadership position is vital in driving HR excellence and supporting the company's strategic growth plans. Job Overview: As the Head of Human Resources, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the HR strategy, leading and managing the HR team, and ensuring HR practices align with the company's objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead by example, providing expert guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement an HR strategy that supports both immediate and long-term business goals. Lead, manage, and direct the remote HR team to deliver a comprehensive HR service, taking full accountability for performance. Drive cultural change initiatives across the organisation. Promote a performance improvement culture by reviewing and updating the Performance Management System and coaching managers. Ensure HR policies, procedures, and processes are up-to-date and compliant with employment law. Collaborate with managers to handle disciplinary, grievance, and absence issues in adherence to company procedures and statutory requirements. Measure staff satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with managers to effect necessary changes. Collect and analyse people metrics to inform HR improvements and organisational decisions. Prepare and provide monthly KPI reports for the Executive and Senior Management Teams. Provide oversight and approval for operational HR matters like recruitment requests and structural changes. Stay abreast of developments in the HR field and initiate HR-related projects when necessary. Support the HR team in providing guidance, tools, and support to foster effective employee relations. Proactively identify and address weaknesses in people management, either individual or systemic. Essential Skills/Attributes: Proven HR leadership experience with comprehensive knowledge of HR systems and processes. Track record of successful HR leadership, demonstrating expertise in employment law and employee engagement trends. Excellent IT skills. Outstanding communication abilities at all levels. Ability to build strong relationships and inform work direction. Education/Qualifications: CIPD qualified and/or a degree in business or relevant HR subject (minimum Level 5). Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior HR role. Experience in managing staff remotely. Current understanding of employment law. Desirable Qualifications: Experience in career management and succession planning. Postgraduate qualification such as CIPD Level 7 and/or a Master's Degree in a related field.
