Job Description
1. Provide legal support to the Sales teams to enable them to conclude licensing, services, and other commercial contracts, including conducting negotiations with customers and their legal advisors.
2. Collaborate closely with other members of the Legal, Sales, HR, Procurement, and Marketing teams, and manage outside counsel to drive desired outcomes.
3. Assist in handling disputes, litigation, and questions relating to intellectual property and IT ownership.
4. Partner with and manage our obligations to our distributors and other ecosystem partners.
5. Manage employee processes to ensure compliance with our code of business conduct and related policies, and provide training to staff on best practices in compliance matters.
6. Collaborate cross-functionally and globally to anticipate and assess emerging legal risk areas across the company, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
7. Prepare reports for our executive management team, board, and board committees regarding contract escalations and the operation and status of our compliance programs.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Legal Counsel should have:
1. 1-3 years of commercial/IT/IP legal and compliance experience.
2. In-house legal experience is a plus.
3. Qualification for the UK or Common law jurisdiction.
