We Care
That's why we need people like you. People who appreciate their role in helping others to be successful.
The Role:
We have an opportunity for an Operational Planner to join our Integrated Maintenance and Repair (IMR) unit on our Anglian Water Alliance. This is a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of both scheduled and unplanned work, supporting our Water Recycling Partner resources to meet key business targets in service, quality, and risk management.
Here are some of the activities you will be involved in:
* Developing and implementing in-day schedules that optimise resource allocation while ensuring business objectives and emergency responses are met.
* Analysing data, forecasting demand, and creating schedules that balance workload, capacity, and service levels.
* Delivering optimised schedules, proactively monitoring work schedules and business priorities, and ensuring minimal last-minute disruptions.
* Acting as a key point of contact, supporting operational teams, prioritising workloads, and resolving issues as they arise.
* Maximising team efficiency by reducing downtime, using mapping tools and live skills matrices, and ensuring teams are well-prepared before arriving on site.
* Ensuring compliance with planning procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements such as the Traffic Management Act.
We would love to hear from you if:
You have a strong awareness and understanding of waste or water network issues. You should have excellent IT skills, with experience in planning and scheduling tools (Oracle/SAP experience is a plus but not essential). Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to work under pressure in a reactive environment. Previous experience in a similar operational role would be beneficial. Awareness of Streetworks Legislation (Traffic Management Act) is desirable.
