Discover your style Embark on a unique journey with our HR Apprenticeship Programme. As a permanent employee in our HR department, you'll engage in a comprehensive four-year learning programme. For the first two years you'll be an Apprentice, immersing yourself in diverse skills and knowledge across the department. Following this, you'll transition into a Trainee role for the next two years, further developing and expanding your knowledge of HR. What might a day in this job look like? As an HR Apprentice, you will provide a high-quality service to all our internal and external clients. Your tasks will include: Contributing to delivery across 5 key areas: HR Advice & Projects, Business Partnering, Remuneration & Employee Experience, Talent & Development, and HR Performance & Assurance. Providing administrative and operational support to our regular HR internal communications and activities. Maintaining and updating employee records, ensuring that all information is accurate and up to date. Providing support to colleagues at various stages of the employee journey. Actively participating in our internal continuous improvement activities. What will I learn? The apprenticeship programme will provide a mixture of classroom-based and on-the-job training, allowing you to achieve an SVQ in Business and Administration at SCQF Level 6. In addition, you will gain exposure to many different areas of HR, ensuring a real breadth of knowledge and understanding. What Qualifications / Qualities are required? Excellent communication skills Strong customer focus The ability to work well in a team A positive attitude and enthusiastic manner Ability to build strong relationships A National 5 in English and Maths, or equivalent, as a minimum Due to the nature of the learning pathway, the role is an on-site position, based in our Edinburgh office.
