Job Description
We're seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Buyer/Planner with an entrepreneurial mindset to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Londonderry. The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task with ease and thrive in a dynamic environment. The Buyer/Planner will be responsible for purchasing goods, raw materials, and services to support company operations while ensuring optimal pricing, quality, and on-time deliveries. The Buyer/Planner will directly contribute to maintaining a seamless supply chain that exceeds customer satisfaction. Additionally, the Buyer/Planner will collaborate closely with the Buyer I to effectively coordinate tasks and responsibilities.
Buyer Planner Essential Functions:
* The effective coordination of the material planning, purchasing and production scheduling function and ensuring timely delivery to customers of finished products.
* Purchase goods, materials, components, and/or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets as well as tracking existing purchase orders, and schedule delivery for required material and supplies.
* Manage purchase order scheduling in the ERP system to ensure production needs are met.
* Explore alternative suppliers to strengthen supply chain stability and identify cost-effective options.
* Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions for materials, equipment, and services to secure favorable deals.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
* Proactively support the production team by ensuring the supply chain runs smoothly, minimizing any disruptions.
* Handle various tasks to meet daily, weekly, and monthly purchasing objectives.
* Coordinate and expedite the delivery of materials to align with manufacturing schedules.
* Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to translate their needs into clear sourcing requirements.
* Keep management updated on material availability, work progress, and any potential changes in production.
* Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to maintain mutually beneficial partnerships.
* Ensure efficient material flow through production, providing clear updates on status and priorities.
* Work closely with suppliers and the accounting team to resolve invoicing concerns.
* Participate in cross-functional projects, collaborating with colleagues across departments.
* Foster and contribute to a positive work environment that reflects Admix's core values.
Buyer/Planner Qualifications:
* Solid understanding of manufacturing supply chain processes and purchasing functions.
* Proficient in using ERP systems and Microsoft Office programs.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
* Excellent organizational abilities, with attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
* Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities and the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.
* Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and taking initiative to achieve goals.

Buyer/Planner Education and Experience:
* High school diploma (minimum).
* 5+ years of buyer/purchasing experience specifically within manufacturing.
