An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Bank Dietitian to join our forward thinking, supportive and motivated acute team of dietitians based at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital/ Prince Charles Hospital or Princess of Wales Hospital, (site dependent on service need). The successful candidate will hold a specialist caseload predominantly acute nutrition support (including oral nutrition support and enteral feeding) and may cover specialist outpatient clinics as required. You will be joining a forward thinking group of dietitians who are part of a dynamic Dietetic Department of over 90 dietitians and support staff. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Principal Duties Include To manage a defined caseload, using evidence based/client centred principles, (e.g. diabetes, nutrition support and enteral feeding). To assess, plan, evaluate and implement Dietetic interventions in specialist inpatients and outpatient clinics. To implement aspects of the treatment plan with autonomy, taking sole responsibility for the patient’s safety when undertaking community work. To work in partnership with other members of the multidisciplinary team To maintain clinical records in accordance with legal requirements and professional standards. To develop skills and knowledge through continued personal and professional development. Demonstrates at all times, personal behaviour congruent with professional status. To promote and represent the Department and Organisation both internally and externally to the organisation and provide colleagues with professional advice and opinion in a professional manner.
