Beyond our worldwide work in construction, logistics, and more, we're also home to the UK National Authority for Counter Eavesdropping (UK NACE). Working at the cutting edge of technology, the teams at UK NACE guard against technical espionage, provide policy advice to the government, investigate threats, and more – all to protect our nation's secrets. With the chance to get involved in the most pressing issues, you will play an instrumental role in ensuring we’re complying with the law relating to communications data powers. What that means for you is the opportunity to maintain stringent oversight of how we acquire and use communications data, and how we handle, retain and delete information assets. And that’s just part of what you’ll be doing. You’ll also see to it that we’re working within the legal parameters of the Investigatory Powers Act (IPA), plus other legislation such as the Data Protection Act, the Human Rights Act and the Wireless Telegraphy Act. We’ll task you with helping us audit our procedures, practices and documents and identifying risks, plus you’ll translate technical and legal documents into formats that can be easily understood – so a technical mindset will come in useful too. With an understanding of information management techniques and policies, you will know how to use file storage systems. Your professional demeanour will be an important part of how you engage with stakeholders, so you will combine a sharp eye for detail with great communication skills. Bringing an organised approach to your work, you will be comfortable managing documentation in line with the relevant policy, guidance and legal requirements.
