Glossop Trauma Ward is looking for a Band 6 Registered Nurse with a keen interest in trauma and orthopaedics or a highly skilled Band 5 with the enthusiasm to take on a new challenge. This post will include trauma orthopaedic training and exposure to expanding your leadership skills. The Band 6 position is for a substantive contract of 20 hours per week. The training will be provided by Glossop Wards Clinical Educator, who has extensive trauma experience. The Clinical Educator provides innovating and best practice trauma orthopaedic training.

Glossop Ward is built on the foundations of a highly functioning and caring multi-disciplinary team, who pride themselves on the delivery of quality, safe and compassionate care. The speciality offers depth and strength to its skill set supported by Nurses, Nursing associates, Healthcare Support Workers, Clinical Educator, Therapists, ACPs and Medical staff who collectively drive patient centred innovation. Due to the dynamic collaborative multi-disciplinary team Glossop Ward has one of the lowest lengths of stay for patients with hip fractures in the south west according to the national hip fracture data base (2020). Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
Working Pattern: 20 hours per week. Days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays as necessary to meet the needs of the service.
