Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Professor in Accounting (Teaching-Focused) based in the Accounting Department at Nottingham University Business School. You will be required to contribute to high quality teaching and the planning, design and development of objectives and materials for innovative degree programmes, chiefly in the area of the BSc Accountancy ‘Flying Start’ programme, delivered in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Appointed candidates will also be required to make an appropriate contribution to administration. You will have extensive teaching experience, supported by relevant professional qualifications (ICAEW, ACCA, ICAS) and/or HE teaching qualification or recognition against UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF), and/or additional experience. In addition, you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships and collaborate with others, internally and externally. The post is offered on a permanent contract. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week) ; however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week).
