An exciting technology service provider within the entertainment industry based in Solihull is currently looking to recruit a Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. This would suit someone who has strong Accounts Payable experience.
Your new role
1. Day to day processing of purchase invoices
2. Ensure that invoices are authorised for payment by relevant department managers and matched to Purchase Orders.
3. Ensure that invoices are recorded and entered on the Sage 50 system using appropriate account codes and that payments are posted on the system accurately.
4. Dealing with all enquiries related to invoices/payments, answering telephone calls and emails, and liaising with relevant departments as necessary to ensure enquiries are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
5. Assist in the management of the shared AP inbox.
6. Set up new supplier accounts and amend existing supplier details as and when required.
7. Reconciliation of supplier accounts as well as identifying and correcting accounting errors.
8. Assist with period end close activities
What you'll need to succeed
9. Previous experience in a similar role
10. Good IT skills and knowledge of using Excel and accounting software.
11. Meticulous eye for detail and good planning and organisational skills.
12. Good telephone manner.
13. The ability to multitask and work in a busy, fast-paced and challenging environment.
14. The ability to take initiative and a practical approach to problem-solving.
15. Positive and flexible approach to work.
