Key Purpose of the Role
* Responsible for the effective commercial and operational management of ICS enabler vendors, including identifying and implementing areas of possible digitisation and automation of tools & systems used by the ICS team.
* Responsible for the End to End process mapping, identifying areas of improvement, collaborating with process owners.
* Responsible for defining and managing all aspects of the engagement and communication between the Group International Carrier Services team and the CKH Operating Companies (OpCo).
* Developing strategic relationships with the ICS enabler system providers.
* Define and oversee the short/medium/long term automation and digitization plans.
* Building and developing trust relationships with Opcos acquiring a thorough understanding of the OpCo needs and requirements.
* Aligning and agreeing strategies with Opcos to ensure that their requirements are fulfilled.
* Work closely with other IOD’s business units to understand their requirements and ensure seamless integration into existing processes and systems without impacting ICS core roaming business.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
* Create a “here and now” status and future state roadmap for ICS systems/tools, identifying gaps, opportunities for optimisation, and alignment with emerging business needs.
* Oversee and manage strategic commercial and contractual discussions with enabler vendors.
* Champion the digitisation and automation of business tools to support the efficient delivery of both traditional and new services, facilitating seamless integration across systems.
* Lead the comprehensive analysis and mapping of current and future business processes, including the interoperability of systems, to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
* Drive the optimisation of processes across the organisation, focusing on improving time-to-market, enhancing process efficiencies, and minimising operational complexity.
* Create process documentation and guidelines, including operating procedures and workflow diagrams.
* Oversee and manage operational meetings between IOD and OpCos, owning the agenda, organisation and compilation of minutes.
* Ensure all interfaces between OpCos and ICS are clearly identified, being the central point of contact and owning the day-to-day engagement with the OpCos.
* Prepare status reports on technology readiness and planning across the operating company footprint.
* Support the Head of Business Management, Operations and Insights with tasks that may arise from time to time.
Experience and Expertise
* Demonstrable understanding of wholesale International Roaming and/or Interconnect.
* Proven experience of working in a wholesale telecom or similar environment.
* Proven experience in contractual negotiations / contract management.
* Proven ability to analyse and optimise end-to-end business processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing change.
* Ability to think strategically and provide solutions in a fast-evolving and complex industry like telecommunications.
* Understanding of the challenges and required time schedules of an OpCo (an affiliate).
* Understanding of how changes in the telecom/mobile arena can shift business dynamics of the Group business.
* Experience working in an international environment or dealing with a variety of cultures in a business environment.
* Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
* Self-starter with the ability to drive outcomes and make an impact quickly.
* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at a time, while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
* Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Good command of a second language.
* Six sigma or equivalent.
