Quantity Surveyor Opportunity - Rail Infrastructure
We are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading company within the rail infrastructure sector, based in Marlmesbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team, playing a key role in delivering major infrastructure projects while managing costs and contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for rail infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
2. Review contracts and ensure effective financial management throughout the project life-cycle.
3. Conduct regular cost analysis to track project performance and ensure costs are in line with agreed budgets.
4. Manage subcontractor accounts, including procurement, valuations, and payments.
5. Provide accurate financial reporting, highlighting any risks or opportunities for cost savings.
6. Liaise with project managers and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and resolve any financial or contractual issues.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the rail, civil engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
2. Strong understanding of contract management and construction processes.
3. Excellent financial acumen with the ability to analyze and manage costs effectively.
4. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
5. Familiarity with industry-standard contracts (e.g., NEC or JCT).
6. Relevant qualifications (e.g., RICS or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
